Marcia Haughey, Fine Artist

Marcia received her Bachelor of Fine Arts at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, her Art Teacher Certification and her Master’s equivalency in Fine Arts at Plymouth State University, Plymouth, NH.  She taught art at Gilford High School in Gilford, NH, for 20 years and has always felt that teaching made her a better artist.  She resides in Laconia, NH for 6 months, and Sarasota, Florida for 6 months with her husband.  They have 3 children and 3 grandchildren. She is a member of Art Center Sarasota, the Lakes Region Artists’ Association and the Artists’ Loft. 

 

Marcia works in a variety of media and subject matter,  working mostly in oils, watercolor and mixed media.  She has won numerous awards for her artwork both in New Hampshire and Sarasota, Florida. Hello, please feel free to browse through this site and look at my work.  Most of my pieces are primarily in watercolor but I also work in acrylic, oil, mixed media and different drawing medias.  I can create a custom piece for you from a photograph.
